Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) Regarding NEPSE TMS

As per data published by NEPSE, there is already around 32000 online user of NEPSE on 12th July. Due to COVID 19 effect, online users of  “Nepse TMS” are increasing day by day.

Nepse provides a user manual for TMS user, still, there is some simple but confusing tiny question we frequently asked to understand.

if you are wondering about how to do the transaction online in Nepse after obtaining a TMS login then it might help you.

How to place an order for the first order of  IPO in Nepse TMS?

You can place an order under Special pre-order for the first transaction after listing as described under in between 9:30 to 9:45.

For the first transaction, the range will be provided. you have to place an order in that range.

How to place an order in the pre-opening Session of Nepse TMS?

To place an order in a pre-open session select PRE OPEN  only from 9.30 to 9.45

Only a 5% change allowed for these sessions.

Can we sell odd lot share in online?

Unlike earlier, we can place an odd lot share less than 10 anytime by selecting an odd lot as under.

why TMS shows the error of “exceeding Trading limit while placing first order online?

After getting an online user id of Nepse TMS  for online transactions in Nepse you have to upload collateral amount in TMS. Upload the amount by asking your broker based on cheque or transaction or by yourself through load collateral if collateral available shows zero balance.

Can we upload collateral online?

Currently, we have two option to upload amount in NepseTms either through connect IPS or Globel IME bank so click in load collateral and select your account if your broker use bank integration service.

What is the trading limit if I upload 5000 as collateral in my account?

From my personal experience, the trading limit is  4 times of uploaded amount  i.e 20000 limits for 5000

Can we open the Nepse TMS (online ) account without visiting the broker office?

Due to COVID 19 effect, some broker like NASA, SANI, and are providing online service for opening online accounts for Nepse.

For opening account from NASA visit the link and click Registered now and create an online account.

Update: Nepse adds an additional feature in the NEPSE TMS website so visit the URL of your brokers.  Click in the register and fill your firm and obtain login credentials accordingly without visiting Brokers office.

How to Bye or sale Mutual funds and debenture?

To bye or sell or mutual fund or Debenture or preference share, you have to select Instrument as under.

What is AON order in Nepse TMS

As described in the picture we can place an order under Validity
Day: Order will be cancelled at the end of the day if not execute
GTC: Good till cancel Order will remain valid if not cancelled for a 15 days
GTD: Good till date will remain valid for the prescribed period.
AON: All or Not will proceed only if all the order quantity is available at the same price.
Commission for transaction less than 2500 will be rs 25.If multiple transactions will execute for a small amount then a higher commission will levy , so AON is beneficial for that transaction

What is the collateral amount and trading limit difference?

Collateral amount is the amount of your security like ,cash deposit,cheque deposit etc and Trading limit is the limit provided by brokers for your transaction . Which is normally four times of your collateral amount.

Please explain about different errors/exceptions thrown by the Nepse TMS:

Order Quantity Exceeded DP Balance: If we place a sales order more than our DMAT free balance then such error reflects. Please check DP balance under “My share” tab via Mero share login or CDS free balance under “DP holding” of “Brokers Back office “in NEPSE TMS to ensure sufficient balance.
Reason for short quantity
>sometimes recently brought share are not credited in DP
>DP is expired and not renewed in time will also freeze balance.

Order Exceeded Remaining Trading Limit /Invalid Per order Limit, Max allowed Limit Value
such error will reflect in TMS if there is no sufficient collateral in your account. Please check your Available Trading limit under My information in NEPSE TMS.

If your collateral limit is not updated after loading balance to then contract your broker.

Make sure you are using correct URL,each Brokers have separate URL.

    I apply for Qty of 40 but I only got Qty of 10. I also regularly updated the increased price also. So, How is share quantity traded among buyers in share market both in pre open and open market period?

      In pre-market, if there is limited supply then 1st order to the extent of supply available will execute (like 10 qty only available out of 40 ).same process will apply in post-market as well but your order will be pending till cancellation/day closed.

      Sorry for the late response.
      Hope it is already solved if not please contact your brokers. these types of errors is reflect when there is a problem in the overall TMS site/brokers TMS.

          brokers will not transfer shares in your DMAT account, they will confiscate the collateral amount. (20% penalty may be applied , equivalent to the closeout penalty:-not sure about these)

            Normally brokers call for settlement, if not you should be made the settlement from collateral – “manage collateral” option of TMS.call your brokers and request for settlement from collateral before they impose fine.

    What is the trading time of NEPSE?
    The continuous session would be 11-3.
    Why TMS is closed on Friday?
    How do we get information if NEPSE is closed on public holidays?

    I placed a buy order and again tried to cancel it without it’s completed. But it didn’t get cancelled. Now after some days the share came in MeroShare but i haven’t paid the amount to the broker. I couldn’t pay the amount through Connect ips. My collateral shows (-1000). How can i pay the amount now?

      as per the new T+2 settlement system, the share should have been debited on the next day of T+2 that is 3r day of the transaction.

        I have same problem. Under my bank details in TMS account, it says account validation not enabled by bank. How does this affect the transaction? Won’t I get pending payments from broker?

          Ensure provided bank detail is correct then contact your brokers, it should be validated in time. (as a client our role is to submit correct information other remaining management responsibility lies with brokers). The majority of Brokers paid their dues manually through Connect IPS so it should not affect your pending payments.

    What is ORDER_REJECT_FOR_MEMBER_PERMISSION means? My tms account is active, and i have enough collateral to make an Order, but my order rejected and reason for this is ORDER_REJECT_FOR_MEMBER_PERMISSION.

    I sold a share around 15days ago still I don’t find the money 💰 deposited. How long does I had to wait??

      it should have been deposited with t+3.but some brokers deposit on the basis of Email. visit their respective website for the Email ID.or you can call SEBON to report Grievances. Grievances Hotline: +977-1-5544076; support@sebon.gov.np

    sir, how to confirm whether our brokers account is registered in NEPSE or not.i once tried to register in TMS 58 but i hadnt completed the procedure but now i couldn’t register neither i receive mail for the id or password.Now there is occuring error in registration also from other tms like tms49.how to solve this problem and how can i sell my share??

      what type of error is reflected during registration if it says ” your BOID is mapped with another broker then contract NASA for account info.
      As of date, we don’t have any mechanism to check whether our Dmabt account is mapped in the trading account or not. To ensure that we have to contract brokes. Please check your Spam section in the mail to ensure mail from TMS is not diverted there.

      sometimes loaded collateral is not updated in TMS just inform your brokers they will update your account.

      without document TMS should not be confirmed, if you have got the ID PW already and the sales order is processed then, make sure EDIS is done from Mero share. Some brokers take time to deposit the amount call/Email your brokers. “SAle bhaisakeko kura document le garda paisa an aaune hudaina tara EDIS chai hunu parchha hai”

      ensure the remaining trading limit is greater than your order amount if you had already upload your collateral amount then inform your broker to reset the trading limit

      Ensure holding quantity from holding section under broker back office of TMS, Next your sale price should be within 2% range of last order.

      Your trading limit will be automatically restated after order cancellation, if it is not updated then inform your broker
